Lucy graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2007 and thereafter completed her Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School in 2009. Lucy has solely specialised in Employment Law since 2009 and qualified as an Employment Solicitor at the beginning of 2013. Since then she has worked for a local and national law firm before joining Amica HR as an Employment Lawyer, recently becoming the Head of Legal Services for Amica Legal. A friendly and approachable individual with a ‘can do’ attitude, who thrives on seeking early resolutions to HR issues.
Lucy has experience of dealing with both employers and employees from internal issues right through to Employment Tribunal proceedings and advocacy at Final Hearings. She is skilled in providing detailed verbal and written advice on a wide range of Employment Law issues, which includes; Unfair Dismissal, Constructive Unfair Dismissal, Redundancy, Discrimination, Breach of Contract, Unlawful Deduction of Wages, TUPE as well as drafting bespoke Contracts of Employment/Policies and Settlement Agreements. Lucy prides herself on a taking a pragmatic and sensible approach to issues whilst also taking into consideration the commercial aspects.
